By winning the Oscar 2023 for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards, the song “Naatu Naatu” from the Indian movie “RRR” made history.
Natu Natu defeated the songs “This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and “Applause” from the film “Tell It Like a Woman” to win the category. MM Keeravani penned the Telugu song “Naatu Naatu,” which was sung by Kaal Bhairav and Rahul Sipligunj.
‘Naatu Naatu’ means ‘to dance’. The song is picturized on actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR, in which their peppy dance moves have also been appreciated. Earlier, ‘Naatu Naatu’ singers Kaal Bhairav and Rahul Sipligunj gave a power-packed performance on this Telugu song at the Oscars ceremony, leaving the audience at the venue in a tizzy. On the presentation, the people sitting in the audience stood up and clapped.
