The US Men’s National Team will play Panama tonight to begin their Copa America group stage campaign. The USMNT, who defeated Bolivia on Sunday night, is playing in its second matchday with the goal of qualifying for the tournament’s knockout phase.
Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun scored goals for the USMNT in their 2-0 victory over Bolivia. They played quite well that night and were able to score early and relieve some of the pressure. They want to keep up with Uruguay and have a chance to win the group, thus they want to increase their goal differential. Nevertheless, the USMNT has previously lost to Panama in competition. This covers the Gold Cup semifinals from last summer, when Los Canaleros defeated the United States on penalties.
