Justin Timberlake, an actor and singer, was taken into custody for driving intoxicated in the Hamptons.

NPR received confirmation from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office that Timberlake was detained in Sag Harbor on Tuesday and was later charged in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court.
Rich New Yorkers love to spend their summers in Sag Harbor, one of the beachside villages on Long Island’s eastern coast.
Representatives of Timberlake have been contacted by NPR for comments.
In a statement released on Tuesday afternoon, the Sag Harbor Police Department stated that Timberlake was stopped by an officer in a 2025 BMW shortly after 12:30 am local time for failing to “maintain his lane of travel” and for blowing through a stop sign without stopping.

They claimed, “It was found through investigation that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle while intoxicated.”
After being detained all night, Timberlake was released at 9:30 am for his arraignment.
With his “Forget Tomorrow” World Tour, the 43-year-old is over two months into its North American leg. In March, he released Everything I Thought It Was, his sixth studio album and first in six years.

It was on Saturday in Miami that Timberlake last performed live. He will play the United Center in Chicago on Friday and Saturday, and Madison Square Garden in New York City the following week.
