The sequel of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker which is written by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy Daisy Ridley will reprise her role as Rey as she establishes an entirely brand new Jedi Order.
Friday’s Lucasfilm panel and presentation began The Star Wars Celebration 2023 that took place at the ExCeL Centre in London with a rush of announcements and news (April 7, 2019). Kathleen Kennedy and other key Lucasfilm executives and creators took to the main stage for the unveiling of their entire roster of “Star Wars”-centric projects in the studio, either already in development or being developed in preparation for Disney as well as Lucasfilm’s gala that runs for four days in The ExCeL Centre in London to start the fan festival.
Daisy Ridley will surprisingly return to the “Star Wars” universe in the film due out in the near future, written by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. It will also feature Oscar nominated Steven Knight from “Peaky Blinders.”
Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson Justin Britt-Gibson, who left the project last month following an incident that led to unrest in online and on social networks, have been being replaced as screenwriters with Knight. The events that followed “The Rise of Skywalker” will be detailed in the upcoming Rey film.
Directors of upcoming two movie
Kennedy confirmed the directors James Mangold and Dave Filoni will be in charge of two more “Star Wars” movies. Mangold’s idea is based off the events that preceded the birth of Jedi. Filoni’s movie will focus on the escalating conflict with both the Imperial Remnant and the fledgling New Republic and connect planets that are part of The Disney+ TV series.
Then, we got information on the Tony Gilroy’s acclaimed “Andor” television series, that served as the prequel to “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and featured some of the most impressive writing casting, acting, and drama of every “Star Wars” production to present. In the second episode of “Andor,” the Disney+ show was teased and then it was announced the show’s name “Andor” would return sometime in August 2024.
“We started recording in the fall of. Halfway to the end. In the report by Deadline, Gilroy told the audience “We will wrap up filming in August, which is a year when we have a post and we’ll be out the next August.”
“You know what you have to deliver,” said he stated, “because we know exactly where we’re heading.” “While it was a survival-based choice, it was a powerful one in terms of creativity. It’s fantastic to know there will be a conclusion; we’re quite happy about that.”
Leslye Headland, the creator of “The Acolyte,” was present to present teaser videos and to inform the crowd that her first Disney+ “Star Wars” series will air between The High Republic period hundreds of years prior to the Skywalker story and the start of “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.”
Amandla Stenberg Lee Jung-Jae Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, and Joonas Suotamo who is known as Kelnacca were in attendance along alongside Headland.
I adore Leslye’s work,” Stenberg reportedly told Deadline . “She explores the darker aspects of us with a profoundly emotional manner. This kind of approach is perfect for a series like this that is set in the present.”
The first trailer of the forthcoming show
The first trailer of the forthcoming show “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” made by Jon Favreau and starring Jedi Jude Law, received attention. This is because the New Republic era is the setting for the series, and it features children who are disobedient who wander the galaxy in search of a way to find their way back home. Jon Watts, David Lowery, The Daniels, Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard as well as Lee Isaac Chung will all produce episodes. The date of release for 2023 was not announced.
Finally, a confirmed August 2023 release date as well as an exciting new trailer for the teaser were assigned for “Ahsoka,” the eagerly sought-after Jedi story written by Rosario Dawson. Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who confirmed she will be co-starring in the show as the Twi’lek’s renegade Hera Syndulla, was on stage with Dawson.
