Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles III, leaves the hospital with a concussion and other minor ailments

The younger sister of King Charles III of Britain, Princess Anne, has been released from the hospital following a five-night stay for a minor head injury that was likely caused by a horse, according to a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Friday.

The 73-year-old, the lone child of the late Queen Elizabeth II, has returned to her family’s southwest England residence of Gatcombe Park. Her medical team said she will heal there before going back to her public duties.

Her husband Tim Laurence remarked, “I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the staff at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise, and kindness during my wife’s brief stay.”

On Sunday, while wandering on her estate’s grounds, Anne sustained an injury. Her medical team stated that the head injuries were compatible with being struck by a horse’s head or legs because horses were present in the area at the time of the incident.

Former Olympic equestrian Anne is thought to have had a concussion and is not remembering what happened. She should fully recover from the injury, the Palace had stated on Monday. Nevertheless, Anne’s forthcoming commitments have been rescheduled, and her injury prevented her from traveling to Canada this week as scheduled.
