Bruce had 212 runs at the beginning of the second day of play. After facing 379 balls, he reached 300 runs by hitting the ball softly onto the leg side.Â
This was a truly unique occasion! He broke another record when he reached 339 runs by passing Roger Blunt’s score from 1931-32. He also passed Devon Conway’s 327 and Dean Brownlie’s 334.
A Collaborative Attempt
Bruce’s team was struggling at 29 runs for two wickets when he batted. After that, he formed significant alliances and played some fantastic cricket:
- He and Dane Cleaver added 292 runs.
- He added 303 runs with Josh Clarkson.
Both of these were new records for the Central Stags team!
